We then blended the wine to be of a fruit forward style closer to that of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. The result was we went from selling less than 50 cases a year to selling over 1,000 cases a month. My conclusion is clearly the packaging for Bordeaux although superb for selling red wines, is not conducive to selling white wines and therefore changing the packaging of the whites was (and is) necessary in order to encourage as many people as possible to enjoy white Bordeaux.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6543412211976173503.post-39189676917301695262012-07-25T09:15:39.949+01:002012-07-25T09:15:39.949+01:00Loving the idea of a wine called Kidney Stone ... ...Loving the idea of a wine called Kidney Stone ... and I wouldn't put it past some hotshot to suggest it as a "great marketing opportunity". As Andrew says above, a group of bloggers picked this as a great bottle of wine from Oddbins' current range; we were going on taste rather than packaging - although I have to say that I like the clean, crisp label and wouldn't worry about preconceived ideas from my guests on Bordeaux.bigpinotshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15406806795710845775noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6543412211976173503.post-58515191508522820502012-07-22T12:35:55.467+01:002012-07-22T12:35:55.467+01:00Not far off thinking it as being like a Kiwi; it c...Not far off thinking it as being like a Kiwi; it certainly has a lot of verve and its at jolly great price.

Incidentally this is one of the wines picked by the bloggers for the Oddbins Wine Bloggers Case. http://www.oddbins.com/wine/Wine_Bloggers_Case.htmlAndrewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13173791294052288116noreply@blogger.com
